Urban garden projects as an experimental space and real laboratory in the development and implementation of participation – a discussion as part of the Long Day of Urban Nature. Urban gardens as places of inclusion developed and run by civil society enrich neighborhoods and offer many opportunities for participation. Many urban garden projects are developing new approaches and processes in areas such as environmental and climate protection or individual participation, which – if understood as valuable contributions – could contribute creative solutions to upcoming municipal transformation processes. In the discussion with Wilfried Buettner, Pia Paust-Lassen and MdA Catharina Pieroth-Manelli, we want to explore together with experts the question of what it takes for urban gardens to be understood by politics, administration and civil society as experimental spaces and real laboratories for the development of creative solutions, how such approaches can be developed jointly by all actors and then tested in implementation. Registration is requested.
