Take part in a global community of urban thinkers and change-makers to build cities that are better for nature and all people by mixing art, science, and urban practice in an inspiring place in Berlin called Atelier Gardens.

The Nature of Cities Festival is part conference, part radical imagination and part retreat.  An event get inspired, to learn, to present, collaborate, or to meet hundreds of new best friends and urban nature co-conspirators.

From dynamic seed sessions to practical skill workshops, from a captivating Film Festival to immersive field trips around Berlin, our program pushes the boundaries, encouraging radical imagining of our cities from the present into the future.

Our lineup of speakers includes Johannes Vögel, Director of the Museum für NaturKunde in Berlin; Britta Behrent, State Secretary for Climate and Environmental Protection at the Senate Department for Mobility and Transport in the City of Berlin; David Kendal, artist and scientist from Future in Nature; Theresa Williamson from Catalytic Communities, and many other inspiring artists and practitioners.
