We are delighted to invite you to the upcoming episode of Conflict Food, hosted by Ayham Majid Agha. In this special event, we will explore the deep connections between family, identity, and the meals that shape us—featuring insights from acclaimed author Olga Grjasnowa, Benjamin Kafka and Heba Al Ansari.

As parents from diverse cultural backgrounds, we often ask ourselves: Do our children, born and raised here, appreciate the flavors and meals from our homelands? Or do their tastes reflect a new world, one far removed from the culinary traditions we grew up with?We may find that the world our children are growing up in feels very different from the one we knew. Tastes, practices, and values have shifted, and so we ask: How do their food preferences diverge from ours, and what does this say about their evolving identities? This conversation will dive deep into these intergenerational differences and the evolving nature of family recipes. We’ll discuss how our beloved traditional dishes are reimagined or adapted to suit our children’s preferences, exploring the tug-of-war between heritage and the changing demands of modern tastes.

Join us for a celebration of the rich, interwoven stories of food and family, where the past meets the present in delicious, thought-provoking ways.We look forward to having you with us for this unique experience!
